Anime Like A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School!
This one makes you laugh at a grown man's suffering and then, somehow, root for him. Haruaki Abe is not a chosen one, he's a rookie teacher who whimpers around ordinary human kids, and the show drops him in front of a classroom of monsters who treat his terror as a group project. The comedy engine is simple and merciless: the students prank, Abe panics, and the punchline is always his face. What keeps it from being twenty-four episodes of one joke is that Abe keeps showing up, which is the least heroic and most teacherly thing a person can do. Watch it for the running gag of a man learning that fear and caring about your class are not opposites. By the time the ghouls start pranking him because they like him, you'll be as cooked as he is.
SYNOPSIS
Haruaki Abe is a nervous wreck of a teacher who can barely manage his anxiety around regular students. When he gets assigned to Yokai Academy, a school populated entirely by monsters and supernatural creatures, his worst nightmare becomes his daily reality. His classroom is chaos incarnate: mischievous ghouls who see their terrified instructor as the perfect target for increasingly elaborate pranks and tricks. Every lesson becomes a battle for survival as Haruaki tries to maintain order while fighting off his own screaming instinct to flee. The comedy comes from watching a fundamentally timid man attempt to educate students who are literally designed to be frightening. There's genuine heart underneath the gags, though. As Haruaki stumbles through lesson after lesson, he starts forming real connections with his bizarre class. They're monsters, but they're also students who want their teacher to succeed, even if they have an unusual way of showing it.
