It sings at you. That is the thing nobody warns newcomers about: the student council of Shikou Academy will corner Ritsuka Tachibana over the Forbidden Grimoire and then somebody breaks into a full musical number about it, and Fortuna keeps that nerve intact. The art is clean, the sound mix is the best this property has ever gotten, and the songs carry the emotional freight the script no longer has time for, because this is a feature trying to hold devils, vampires, exorcists, Rem Kaginuki, and Lindo in ninety-odd minutes. If you did not watch the series, you will be lost by the time Roen opens his mouth. If you did, you are here for one thing anyway: seeing Ritsuka stand between her brother and the boys who want her blood, and hearing it in harmony. Bring the context. Nobody hands it to you.
SYNOPSIS
