Anime Like Demonbane OVA
It drops you at street level and makes you crane your neck at the giant robot like everybody else in town. Lily Bridge is the whole trick: a rookie reporter chasing a scoop through Arkham City, where the eldritch weirdness is so routine that only Demonbane itself still counts as news. That one scrap of Hadou Combine machinery is the thread, and pulling it drags her out of journalism and into Lovecraft's filing cabinet, where the grimoires are alive and the mecha runs on them. Twenty-odd minutes is a criminally short leash for a Nitroplus cosmology this dense, and yes, it sprints. But Kurou and Al Azif summoning Demonbane over a city named Arkham, seen through the eyes of somebody who just wanted a byline, hits harder than any straight adaptation would have. Watch it for the reporter, stay for the tentacles.
SYNOPSIS
Journalist Lily Bridge chases stories in Arkham City, a metropolis where the bizarre has become routine.
