Anime Like Duel Masters King
It grabs you by the collar in the first thirty seconds and never once apologizes for being loud. Duel Masters King keeps the exact engine the 2017 reboot built: Joe Kirifuda, a kid whose power is that he can simply make creatures exist, and Decky, the talking deck case that came to the human world hunting a Duel Master and somehow settled on this guy. Forty-seven episodes is a marathon for a card game show, and King spends it the way the franchise always has, on gag timing between duels and on summon sequences animated way past what the stakes technically require. The Creature World's balance is on the line again, sure, but nobody sane is watching for suspense about whether the good guy tops his deck. You're here because Joe screams a name he made up and the entire production crew backs him without blinking. That commitment is the whole appeal.
