This one drops you in mid-mythology and refuses to slow down for you. Yonosuke Hikura is doing the high school routine on the surface while carrying the job of holding Heaven and Earth in balance, and the OVA treats that inheritance as a fact of life rather than a twist to unwrap. Chitentai does the heavy lifting, Tsukinojo Inbe handles the parts a teenager with a sword cannot, and the demons crawling up from the Earth World exist to get sent back. SYNOPSIS
Yonosuke Hikura lives a double life. By day he's just another high school student coasting through classes, but he carries a secret that separates him from every peer around him: he's the guardian responsible for maintaining balance between the heavens and the earthly realm. When demons break through dimensional barriers and escape into the human world, Yonosuke must step up with his magical sword Chitentai in hand, aided by his ally Tsukinojo Inbe. Together they hunt down these supernatural threats and force them back where they belong, preventing catastrophe from overtaking ordinary people who have no idea how close danger really is. The tension between his mundane student existence and his extraordinary responsibilities drives the story, as Yonosuke discovers what it truly means to be chosen for a burden this heavy.
