Anime Like Grrl Power
It grabs you in under a minute and then refuses to waste one. Umi, Sora and Ao run an odd-jobs shop that guarantees results, which in practice means grinding through other people's homework and crawling through sewers while their own school attendance quietly collapses. Then somebody hires them to drag a truant back to class, and the joke lands because these three are the last people on earth qualified to make that pitch. The animation is genuinely loose and springy, the kind of clean, elastic movement that makes a gag land twice as hard, and the writing is tight enough that setups planted early come back to bite in the last stretch. Lucky Star fans and anyone nostalgic for the snap of early Pokemon episodes will recognize the rhythm instantly. The only real complaint is that it ends, and you will absolutely want a second episode that does not exist.
SYNOPSIS
