The premise is quietly brutal when you sit with it: Earth is dead, humanity lives in colonies, and the only way forward is backward, into a sea half a billion years gone, chasing the Lost Code. Season one set the hook and this one keeps pulling, trading spectacle for the slow, stubborn work of researchers who refuse to write off a homeworld. Watch it in one sitting and the runtime becomes the point. Small episodes, small creature, absurdly large stakes, and you end up rooting for a boneless swimmer that most people have never heard of.
