Anime Like POPS
This one gets you in about thirty minutes flat, which is exactly the cruelty of it. Kusuko does the thing every guarded person does: she watches Mishima cycle through girls, decides she's above wanting him, and calls that self-respect instead of fear. Then he actually calls her out for being cold, and the whole armor turns out to be tissue paper. The genius is that dating him doesn't fix anything. Every good day makes the drop farther, until she's standing there listening to him on the phone with another girl and doing the math she'd been avoiding since the first frame. SYNOPSIS
