It takes the two most self-important archetypes in fantasy, the Demon King and the Hero, strips them of their jobs, and lets them bicker their way across the map. He got impeached. She got laid off after the expedition flopped. Neither of them will admit out loud that they need the other, which is exactly why the back-and-forth lands: the comedy runs on wounded pride, not gags about power levels. And then the show sneaks up on you, because somewhere between the arguing and the fights the two of them start acting like they actually care, and the romance stops being a joke. Twenty-six episodes of cliffhangers means you will absolutely watch four in a row telling yourself it was one. Fair warning: it is Mandarin audio and a nightmare to find streaming legally, so consider that part of the cult tax.
SYNOPSIS
